Wedding: Kristin & Carter - Part I

May 21, 2009

Kristin & Carter were married at the beautiful and quaint Gasparilla Island on Florida’s gulf coast.  This sleepy little island is so cute and naturally beautiful.  The tropical trees, colorful blooming flowers, quiet beaches and historic lighthouse added so much charm to the feel of the wedding.  The small town of Boca Grande on the south end of the island is so charming.  First, check out a few images to get a feel of the island.

LOVE these gorgeous shoes!!!

The dress was equally gorgeous and simple with a lace top and satin tie around the waist. The lace was just beautiful!

The boys hung out in the billiard room at the historic Gasparilla Inn before the ceremony. They played pool, hung out and tried to stay cool from the early spring heat outside.

One of my favorite shots of the day.

Kristin & Carter were married in a tiny white church just yards from the shore. I just loved the white shutters, the steeple and the palm trees in front of the church. The church also had a beautiful garden in back where we took photos after the ceremony. You’ll see those in my next post.

The sky was so blue and so pretty. Just a perfect day for a wedding!

The handsome groom. I loved the groom & groomsmen’s ties, navy jackets and white pants. They blended very well with the island feel and sophistication of the wedding.

The flower girl and ring bearer just before the ceremony. They were quite the cuties!

Kristin & her Dad just before their walk down the aisle.

These natural wreaths fit so well with the old feel of the church and contrasted nicely with the red door.

Congratulations Kristin & Carter! After the gorgeous ceremony, it was on to the reception which deserves its own post. Can’t wait to show you the lovely venue and its perfect location right on the end of the island at the pass. Coming soon!
