Monthly Archives: September 2010

I never used to like the fall season. It meant that the summer was over along with the warm weather, days at the pool, flip flops and vacations. It also meant that winter was coming along with the cold and snow and I hate the cold. I would rather be hot than cold. But, recently I have come to love the fall. I love the beautiful leaves, the slightly cooler weather and overall the change. Change is a necessary evil and personally, I love change. How boring is it for things to remain the same forever? Fall is definitely a time for change – a change in season, in weather and in life.

There are some great things happening here at MSP and fall is the best time to kick off these changes. There are some big, big announcements coming soon so stay tuned to the blog for the latest! I am definitely reaping the rewards of some long and hard work. The first big announcement is less than a week away and I can’t WAIT to share it with you. So, in anticipation of the 1st announcement…there will be a little contest posted here soon! Check back for all the details!

Fall is in the air! These are the most gorgeous fall leaves I have ever seen. These sweet little trees were in a little courtyard at a villa in Tuscany that I stayed at last fall. Such memories. The photo really doesn’t do the trees justice – they were so vibrant and golden. By the end of my stay all the leaves had fallen off, but I am so glad I captured them before then.

Back in June during my #crazytrip, one of my stops was to second shoot a wedding with the amazingly talented Laura Ivanova. Laura and I met almost a year ago at The Italy Workshop in Tuscany, Italy. We have definitely become friends and love to shoot together because our style’s blend so well together. Laura also styled this beautiful shoot we did while at WPPI this past spring in the desert. She is so, so talented and I was really excited to work with her on this wedding.

The wedding was held at the James J. Hill Reference Library in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. The bride & groom were so sweet, the venue so elegant and the details…gorgeous! Loved the historic library building and the images of the bride & groom amongst the stacks of books. And the flowers…they were amazing. I loved the soft colors, peonies and the accent of queen anne’s lace. So elegant. Check out some of my shots below and also check out Laura’s blogpost over on her blog with all of the great vendors who contributed to this beautiful wedding.

See Laura’s blogpost HERE to see more photos & details on the wedding. Thanks Laura for having me! It was so fun to shoot with you. Laura will be joining me this fall for a beautiful wedding in Amelia Island, Florida! Can’t wait.

Lindsey & Tyler had a beautiful Rehearsal Dinner held at the Wimbish House Mansion on Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta. The event and all the details were meticulously planned by the Mother of the Groom, Lynda & Lindsay Pitt of Toast Signature Celebrations. The Wimbish House was a great setting for the southern affair which featured black & white details with gold accents, silver mint julep cups as vases for hydrangeas and mint juleps as the signature cocktail for the evening. Candlelight filled the gorgeous hall at the mansion where a seated dinner was served. The night ended with a surprise performance by the Groom’s college a capella singing group, The Bakers Dozen!
