I almost posted a preview of Katie & Kacey’s Wedding when I realized that I never posted all of their engagement photos!  I posted a preview, but never the rest of the images.  So, thought I’d share those with you first.  For their engagement, we first did some photos at their house and in their neighborhood.  Then, they re-created their proposal and had a picnic at Piedmont Park under a beautiful magnolia tree.  They would always go to the park and talk about climbing that tree and for their engagement, they climbed it!  It was a really fun session and so great to capture these two - they are SO in love!  Wait until you see their wedding!

Thanks for everyone who submitted their favorite destination in the world!  It was so fun to see what places people selected.  I had a few selections for Bora Bora (which is my personal favorite for a honeymoon destination) and lots of other far-off places.  The great thing about talking to people about their favorite place is that you always find out about new places that you’ve never heard of. 

That is definitely the case for our randomly-chosen winner Betsy who said this was her favorite destination:

“Aberystwyth, Wales…spent a week for a youth soccer tournament. Beautiful landscape and salt of the earth people to engage with. So peaceful and humble.”

After reliving my trips to Italy last week, I started thinking about travel and places.  There are so many places in the world and all of us have our favorite.  Every “place” is loved by someone - all for different reasons.  I have had the great opportunity to travel so much this past year and am so thankful for each and every trip.  Travel really gets me energized and excited and opens my eyes to new lands, cultures, food & life.  It’s definitely what keeps me going - literally.  I find that if I stay in one place too long, I get bored and I need that variety to spice things up and to remember that there is a whole world of possibilities out there.

Riding on the coat-tails of Italy Week, I thought it would be great to make the month of November, “DESTINATION MONTH” here on the blog!  I have lots of destination weddings, engagements & photoshoots to feature as well as a few more posts from Italy and some other places that I traveled this year.  So get ready for some inspiration on destinations.
