Hello and Happy Spring!  One of the most glorious seasons is finally here after such a cold and snowy winter across most of the US.  Everyone is welcoming sweet spring with open arms, and I know that I am most excited for all of my wonderful spring weddings coming up!

Just in time, I released my Spring Newsletter which features everything blooming and new.  First up, my featured Engagement Session is of Katherine & Evan’s Destination Engagement Session in Lexington, Kentucky.  I’ve also written an article with my tips on Destination Weddings & Events!  It’s a subject close to my heart, as most of my weddings are destination, which I love.  Lots of tips for destination couples out there, so please take a peek.  I’ve also highlighted my Coffee Table Book as my featured fine art product in this issue.  An album is a must to preserve your special memories in a tangible form for generations to come.

Last, I’ve announced my Spring Portrait Sessions which you can read more about HERE.  Contact me today for the special rates and to reserve your session May 24th in Atlanta!

Last month, I was honored to capture an amazing event that was a bit different than my usual jobs.  Usually for us wedding & event professionals, we are busy making memorable events for our clients.  This time, the tables were turned, and this event was especially for wedding & event professionals!  The sweet girls at It Takes Two Events and Chancey Charm dreamed up a plan to treat everyone to a party where we could, for once, let our hair down, have a great time, eat, dance and be ‘guests’…something that we are not used to.

All of the vendors (listed below) did a fabulous job of putting on not only a fun, but beautiful event!  So much talent was showcased, and everyone had a really great time.  Even though I was working photographing the event, I did manage to sneak in a few minutes to chat with colleagues…though, like at most weddings…I didn’t get to sit down and eat.  Occupational hazard I guess.  But it was so wonderful to see so many people that I work with and even meet a few new smiling faces.

Many thanks to Paul and his team at The Engine Room, we can’t wait for The Governor’s Ball 2016!!!

Just one frame from Brittany & Michael’s Engagement Session.  I am currently in love with classic, black & white film.  It is so timeless and elegant and I love how this frame from their session turned out.

Food for creative souls usually come in the form of artistic collaboration.  This editorial shoot was born over coffee with Natalia of Tailor & Table, where our ‘inspiration words’ were dark, moody, and texture.  Off our imaginations went from there and I couldn’t be happier with all of the loveliness that Tailor & Table dreamed up for this shoot!  We had a dream team of vendors and were lucky enough to have it published on Style Me Pretty.  You can see the full feature HERE.

I can hardly believe it myself, but yours truly created the stationery suite and signage for the shoot myself!  Crafted from fine art papers using gold ink, hand drawings and lettering.

A full post of the Editorial Shoot will be featured on the blog soon!
