-Pea Island - Cape Hatteras National Seashore | Outer Banks, North Carolina

Thinking of my favorite Atlantic beach, Cape Hatteras National Seashore and hoping that the hurricane doesn’t do much destruction there this weekend.  This is by far the most beautiful, natural beach I’ve ever seen.  There are no buildings, no people, no cars for miles and all you see is natural shoreline with dunes of seagrass on the inland side.  I’ve never seen anything like it.  So incredibly beautiful.

-Door County, Wisconsin | Cana Island

In honor of my trip to Door County in a few weeks for a wedding, thought I’d share an image I took last fall there.  It was October and the last of the warm air to hit the peninsula.  The days were pleasant, the nights were cool - leaves were in their full fall glory of color.  This photo was taken on Cana Island on the last day of my trip.  I walked out to the edge of the island to the shores of Lake Michigan and could tell that change was in the air.  From the crispness to the high clouds overhead, it was evident that winter was on its way.  I can’t wait go back and see Door County in a different season - in the warm breezes of summertime!
