After a long, long winter, spring is finally here!  I have really been enjoying the perfectly warm days and cool evenings with lots and lots of sunshine!  I ventured out to the park on Easter weekend to play with my Fuji Instax camera.  There were so many colors and things in bloom, I just had to take some photos.  As my dog sniffed out all the spring smells, I sought out spring flowers, blooming branches and some green, green grass to shoot.  Love the color on the Instax, so beautiful.

While I was attending the WPPI conference in Las Vegas earlier this month, I had the opportunity to do a shoot with some photographer friends.  My good friend Laura Ivanova who I met at the Jose Villa / Gene Higa Workshop in Tuscany, Italy organized and styled the shoot.  Laura has a great eye for style, art and photography and she created a wonderful shoot in the Mojave Desert ghost town of Nelson, Nevada.  It is a quaint little place nestled among the mountains full of old buildings, vehicles and other abandoned structures.  I was in LOVE with the beautiful green Cholla Cactus spread among the desert floor.  Many, Many thanks to Laura and our beautiful Models Brittani and Giordano who came all the way from Italy!  Also, the gorgeous florals were designed by Weeds Floral Design in Las Vegas and were just stunning!

Our last session was with the beautiful Georgia & Omar in the gorgeous olive groves at Borgo di Fontebussi.  The session took place just before the sun set over the tuscan hills and the light was incredibly delicious!  It was really the most beautiful setting I have ever been in.  The colors, the textures of the leaves and fresh grass, the smell of firewood in the air…just breathtaking.  We led Georgia & Omar through the lush olive groves and out to the edge of the farm where a view of the hills and the town of Montegonzi above.  This was by far my favorite session and favorite location and I only hope that one day I can go back.  Enjoy!
