Cliffs and terraced hillsides cascading down towards the sea, panoramic views all around you, secret gardens, piazzas filled with locals, churchbells serenading your every move, cobblestone streets and hidden passageways. And these are just a few of the words that describe the town of Ravello, hidden up in the hills above the Amalfi Coast. It seems as if you’ve been transported to another world, far away from any modern amenities where you can escape, wander and breathe in the local flavor of this beautiful region.
While traveling to The Amalfi Coast for several shoots and a wedding, one of my favorite colleagues Alicia Swedenborg and I dreamed up an amazing styled elopement shoot in this beautiful town. Our concept was based on our bride and groom escaping to the high hills of Ravello to say their I-do’s by themselves, all the while exploring the town and meandering through it’s narrow streets. Complete with breezy gowns, hand-drawn invitations that featured the local church, traditional Italian wedding favors all the way to their escape on a Vespa, this shoot was a dream and will hopefully inspire your own wedding or secret elopement!
Many thanks to all of the amazing vendors who participated in this shoot, provided their time and creative talents. Special thanks to our models Alice & Matteo! Grazie Mille a tutti!
